Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. The Power BI Developer will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, design data models, create insightful reports and dashboards, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data visualization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report and Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI to meet business needs.
- Data Modeling: Create efficient data models that support robust and scalable reporting, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Data Integration: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective BI solutions.
- Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure fast and efficient user experience.
- Security and Governance: Implement data security and access controls within Power BI, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, enabling them to effectively use Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Power BI solutions, including design specifications, data sources, and user guides.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices, and continually seek to improve BI processes and solutions.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence development, with a focus on Power BI.
- Proven experience in developing complex reports and dashboards in Power BI.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data visualization best practices.
- Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
- Experience with data integration tools and techniques (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory).
- Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
